ABRSM Piano news

ABRSM has just launched a new 2021-2022 piano syllabus.

ABRSM Music Exams

New developments from ABRSM adjusting to the needs of learners and teachers.

Repertoire choices have been completely revised and will now be defined by musical characteristics rather than the period of composition.

Another amazing new development is that through a distribution deal with Hal Leonard Europe, digital downloads of individual syllabus pieces are available via an extensive network of online and in-store digital retailers around the world. This is the first time in the history of ABRSM that some pieces are available as digital downloads.

Candidates can use the new ABRSM 2021 & 2022 Piano syllabus in exams starting 1 January 2021, with the 2019 & 2020 syllabus remaining valid until 31 December 2021. A syllabus overlap of 1 year in this case.

A second new development is that music theory exams will be moving online worldwide in 2021.
